Our Purpose

TRCA’s Community Stewardship Program engages local residents, schools, and corporate and community groups in restoration activities to enhance the natural environment and raise awareness of the benefits of healthy ecosystems in urban areas.

We engage the community in ground-level environmental stewardship activities such as:

  • Tree and shrub plantings
  • Planting site maintenance and monitoring
  • Invasive species management
  • Watershed Wide Clean-ups
  • Meadow restoration

Our programs help restore local environments to create cleaner, more biodiverse and resilient natural systems while inspiring environmental stewardship in the community.
