The Meadoway

Get Ready to Bring Nature Back Into City Living

The Meadoway is transforming an underutilized hydro corridor between the Don River ravine and Rouge National Urban Park into a vibrant 16-kilometre stretch of urban greenspace and high-quality native meadow habitat.

Restoration of the existing corridor with meadow habitat will contribute to the city’s urban greenspace and improve ecological diversity.

The Meadoway will connect seven watercourses and four ravines, 13 neighbourhoods, 16 kilometres of trails, 15-plus parks, and more than 200 hectares of meadow, and will encompass more than 1,000 diverse species of flora and fauna.

Over the coming years, The Meadoway will become a place filled with butterflies, birds and wildflowers – a rich meadow landscape realized on a scale never seen in Toronto.
